When I go grocery shopping, I'm not picky. I will take cereal, or cheese, or eggs from any brand, off brand, never-been-a-brand, as long as I get my food.

Except for peanut butter.

For me I have to have the ALL NATURAL ,oil-on-top HAS to be refrigerated peanut butter.

Blame it on my mom for telling me that jiffy and all the other already-mixed peanut butters are no good, fake, wannabe's.

And when I get my peanut butter:

I like to heat it up before I put it on my (all natural) bread. (Oh yeah, I'm picky about my bread too).

I only heat it up for forty seconds you guys. REMEMBER THAT I SAID FORTY SECONDS.

Because when you put it in the microwave for TWO WHOLE MINUTES like my beloved Man did, it will end up like this :

p.s. don't be fooled. Those are not chocolate chips in there (I wish it was, peanut butter and chocolate chips taste so good together!!).

I love love love peanut butter! You may cringe at this, but the only one I will eat is smooth Skippy. Yeah, I'm a Skippy girl! HaHa I'm sure it's because my dad has been a hard core Skippy fan and that's all we had in the house growing up.
I will def have to try heating it up. Sounds super amazing. . .never tried it before :)
I just took out some fresh, hot from the oven bread so I'll do that now! YUMMY!

Assalaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuh! OMG, I loooovvvee peanut butter, LOL! I usually toast my bread and spread the peanut butter on there and it melts a li'l bit but I think it cools too quickly for me...I never thought about heating the peanut butter up (splendid idea). I have to try that, Insha'Allaah. Also, your Beloved Man is so funny (he sounds like my stepbrother lol). 2 MINUTES...OMG WOW, Subhan'Allaah, that's why most men don't cook (my abi does, though, ha ha). And yupp, if there were really chocolate chips in that peanut butter after your hubby put it in the microwave for 2 MINUTES...he'd be your hero (he prob already is since he's your zawj lol)! I like to mix my peanut butter with honey!!!

awwww! lol...at least your husband was trying! :-) my fiancé, saleh, is obsessed with low-fat jif peanut butter (and i am too, to be honest), and the last time i put him on a plane back to riyadh, he brought two jars of peanut butter in his carry-on bag and we didn't think anything of it. the tsa agent found them and determined they were a "gel." saleh begged, "okay, one of the jars is open, i understand throwing that one away. but the other jar is sealed shut! please, can i take it, i can't get this peanut butter in saudi arabia!" we both watched sadly as the tsa agent, unmoved, threw both jars in the trash. saleh was crushed; i really thought he might cry, poor guy. but he held it together. *sigh* all for the love of peanut butter.

salaamu alaikum,
well, i have to give credit where credit is due... the peanut butter and the bread are due to your daddy! i was a wonderbread-jiffy girl until we were married. he made me use those other good for you brands, and i was hooked on them. so you have to thank your daddy.
so on the chocolate end of things, try toasted breads, one with the awesome peanut butter and the other with nutella. it is something of the recese (sp?) experience. m & m love it! i love YOU!
ma salaama,
mommy

@neco: Whatt!! Thats crazy! Awwww poor guy I feel bad for him too lol. I can just imagine you standing there while he is sad because of his lost peanut butter. They really don't have it in saudi? If they do its probably not the same kind.

If its any consolation, tsa threw away my orange juice :(
